Support
Keep Kindling free
Kindling has no price, no account and no ads inside the game. It stays that way thanks to two things: a small ad on our homepage and articles, and players who chip in.
Why it’s free, and what support pays for
We want any couple to be able to play, on any phone, without handing over an email address or a card number. Keeping it that way still takes money and time. Your support pays for:
Hosting
Keeping the site fast and online, and the offline copy on your phone up to date.
New cards
Writing, testing and rewriting new questions and packs, so the deck stays fresh.
Careful reads
Accessibility checks and sensitivity reads, so the game works for more people and more kinds of couples.
Chip in
A one-off tip
Any amount, once. Think of it as lighting a candle for the next couple.
Suggested: $3, $5 or $10. Any amount helps.
Buy us a candleMonthly support
A small amount each month helps us plan new cards and packs.
Become a monthly supporterTips are gifts: everything is already free, so there’s nothing extra to get. The platform you choose handles the payment, and its own privacy policy applies.
Ways to support are coming soon. Thank you for wanting to help.
Site owner: add tips.url (one-off tips) and/or tips.patreonUrl (monthly) in assets/js/config.js. This note only shows on localhost.
Free ways to help
Tell a friend
Word of mouth is how a small, free game gets found. If you enjoyed it, send it to a friend who’d like it too. We only share the link, never anything you played.
Suggest a card
Got a question you’d love to see in the game, or one that didn’t land? Tell us. We read every suggestion.

Kindling’s articles help couples find better questions to ask each other and plan nights in. Our readers are adults in relationships, new and long-term, looking for ideas for a night together.
What we offer
- Homepage placement: one small, clearly labeled spot on the Kindling homepage.
- Article placements: up to three clearly labeled spots on each of our question and date-night articles.
- One sponsor line: a single hand-picked sponsor, named on this page and, if it fits, as one labeled line at the end of a game night.
What we won’t do
- Track players. The game sends nothing about what anyone plays, and we won’t add tracking for ads.
- Put ads inside the game. No banners or pop-ups between cards.
- Show explicit products in the game. The sponsor line stays tasteful.
Interested? Email kindling.cards@gmail.com with your brand, what you’d like to promote, and when. We say yes to brands we’d be happy to show a couple at the end of their night.
Our sponsor
Kindling is currently supported by a sponsor we picked ourselves. Sponsored links are always labeled.
